Ministries Prescribed under the Environmental Bill of Rights

Fourteen ministries in the Ontario government are prescribed under the EBR:

1. Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) *
2. Ministry of Consumer Services (MCS) *
3. Ministry of Economic Development and Innovation (MEDI)
4. Ministry of Education
5. Ministry of Energy (ENG) *
6. Ministry of the Environment (MOE) *
7. Ministry of Government Services (MGS)
8. Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC) *
9. Ministry of Labour (MOL)
10. Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing (MMAH) *
11. Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) *
12. Ministry of Northern Development and Mines (MNDM) *
13. Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Sport (MCTS)
14. Ministry of Transportation (MTO) *

Each prescribed ministry is required to develop a Statement of Environmental Values and post notices on the Environmental Registry for all environmentally significant Acts, regulations and policies.

* Ministries with an asterisk are also subject to the application for review process under the EBR.
