Ministries Prescribed under the Environmental Bill of Rights

Thirteen ministries in the Ontario government are prescribed under the EBR:

1. Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) *
2. Ministry of Consumer Services (MCS) *
3. Ministry of Economic Development and Trade (MEDT)
4. Ministry of Energy (ENG) *
5. Ministry of the Environment (MOE) *
6. Ministry of Government Services (MGS)
7. Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC) *
8. Ministry of Labour (MOL)
9. Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing (MMAH) *
10. Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) *
11. Ministry of Northern Development, Mines and Forestry (MNDMF) *
12. Ministry of Tourism and Culture (MTC)
13. Ministry of Transportation (MTO) *

Each prescribed ministry is required to develop a Statement of Environmental Values and post notices on the Environmental Registry for all environmentally significant acts, regulations and policies.  Nine of the prescribed ministries (denoted with a *) are also subject to the application for review processes under the EBR.
